This book has beautifully written and crafted prose which provides a story of family wounds and healing. Once finished this book will remain with you for a long time.

A compelling strong character, Elsa, keeps one riveted throughout her life's journey of despair, courage, boldness and her unyielding love for her children.

Not one of Grisham's best with all fluff for the first 200 pages, then a preposterous situation with a person surviving two head shots to a quick conclusion. He must be short of ideas
because this is a disappointing book.
