i wanted a little romcom book to take a breather from all my fantasy series that i’ve been so deep in. this book is a breath of fresh air and i wasn’t distracted by wanting to go back to my fantasy books. i made my boyfriend go in the other room to play video games for like 7 hours (i’m a slow reader) just so i could read this whole book in one sitting. i don’t know if it’s just my personal cup of tea but the banter, the tension, the fact that he has a cat named menace, and literally all the details in the book i loved and consumed. highly recommend, i felt like i was watching my favorite romcom that doesn’t exist in movie form bc it’s a book, a damn good book.
