I wanted to love this film. It was good overall with some very good scenes. I'm glad NYC was the star and Jeffrey Wright was amazing in this. I hope he gets a supporting acting nomination. Rocky ASAP was also great presence. And then there was the underwhelming supporting cast: the wife, the police folks, the sons, business colleagues. and then the music score really didn't fit with most of the scenes. i felt it took the suspense away. The writing was painfully average that I believed Denzel was struggling to give most of his lines life. Overall, the movie needed some trimming but it was still good and i was entertained that the setting of this movie was a record company.

it's a shame that this movie did not receive a Best Picture nomination. it deserves one. it already has an adapted screenplay nomination. great movie to see men being vulnerable with one another and that's how trust is built. Too many folks open and run their mouths with empty personal commentary about societal problems, but at least this movie begins to offer solutions to these problems. High recommendation

really enjoyed this movie. there is lots of magic in the movie but you have to find it yourself. no special effects needed. great to see different parts of Tokyo. open up your mind and your heart and let go of Hollywood attitude and you will be surprised.

highly recommended to connect caste from Trayvon Martin's murder, to Nazi Germany borrowing the Jim Crow laws from the US States, and later connected it to the caste system of India is already a daring move. Yet Ava Duveraney brings a topic so heavy and difficult to discuss makes this movie very friendly to watch. I still have more questions than solutions but this movie is a great first step. And I have to read Caste book by Isabel Wilkensen.

what a surprise; i enjoyed watching this show. The fight scenes were creative, and twisted. but i love this storyline of the importance of family. it's refreshing to have bruce apologizing about his lack of confidence of understanding Chinese, i can relate to that. LOL! highly recommend.
