Luck and Strange the new Album by David Gilmore is the kind of album that grows on you after each time you listen to the tracks! For me, this could very well be the best music I’ve heard from him since Pink Floyd’s Animals album! It produced well and written well! It’s a collaborative family affair with David’s wife Polly Sampson doing the majority of the writing and Romany Gilmore doing the vocals on Between Two Points! It all works well! On one of the tracks, the late Richard Wright, A former member of Pink Floyd is prominent with them taking a lot of the material from a jam. They did together in 2007, which was one year before his passing point! A lot of this album sounds like a different good direction while some of it is a bit reminiscent( particularly with the keyboards ) of Meddle, Obscured By Clouds, Animals,and The Wall! 5 out of 5 Stars!
