Before buying the ticket I was thinking whether the choice would be good one as I had the option of choosing between 'Animal' and 'Sam Bahadur'. But after watching it I thought I made the right decision. Meghna Gulzar had made a superb flick based on the biography of Sam Maneckshaw, the first Field Marshall of India. The flick not only captured the traits of Sam, but also the tenets of history of the significant period when Sam was at the helm of Indian army. Acting by Vicky Kaushal in the character role of Sam was extraordinary. He caught the behavioral attitude of Sam, his gestures, his gaits, mannerisms to the fullest perfection.
Films like these should be made more frequently, to make the generations aware of history and inspirational figures.
Films got a social responsibility and film makers should be playing the role of socially responsible people too.
Portrayal of characters with positivity in films sends across positive vibes and that is much needed to create a great social and cultural milieu.
Kudos to all associated with the flick.
