"Stealing Christmas" is one of the better holiday movies of the modern era. Danza and Lea Thompson do a great job in their rolls, especially when compared to the lousy performances offered in most other holiday movies on the greeting card channels. Angela Goethals offers a realistic, believable performance as the teenaged daughter experiencing life under a single mother, who runs the local Christmas tree shop. Danza offers up a sublime performance, perfectly fitting the role. Even the other supporting actors do a believable job on what could have been just another forgettable holiday show. I am perplexed as to why this movie does not show up on tv much anymore. It far outshines what passes for holiday entertainment today.
