I thought it was much better than the ludicrous 13% on Rotten Tomatoes. Really good under played acting and a link to a real life case plus the slightly unusual plot line of a mentally unstable female cop all helps the suspense. The screenplay is superior to most with even small characters getting some good lines. Maybe its problem is it diverged too much from the real life Alphabet Killer case, I dont know but when films like Avalanchenadoshark get better percentages it makes no sense this scored less. I'd say its a 70 percenter but maybe it just aged well.

Meandering low key but superior crime thriller with excellent performances and a plot that chucks a few red herrings subtlety into the mix. Del Torro is brilliant but that’s not news that’s the weather , he’s brilliant in everything. Watch.

Compelling and brutal story of money’s vice grip on men, no wonder Daniel Day Lewis retired from acting. He puts everything in and gets everything out. Spellbinding performance with great cameos from the supporting cast especially the manic preacher. But it’s Lewis who steals the show as we watch him descend into alcoholism avarice and utter loneliness.

Shouldn’t be tucked away at 11pm on C4 on a Tuesday. One of the best shows I’ve seen for a long time. Stunning cast , great atmospheric and troubling score and the story itself, if it was totally made up it would be jaw dropping, that it is real life takes it onto another plane.
