I watched it when it came out on Disney plus and didn’t even finish it because I was that disappointed. The movie lacked the excitement and magic of the original and didn’t even feel like I was watching the little mermaid. The actress for the little mermaid was a bad choice. The plot felt very forced and unnatural. The special affects were disappointing considering we’ve had movies like the Pirates of the Caribbean and Avatar way of water filmed in a water setting that was much more believable. Overall, very disappointed.
