Well acted. A somber, stark look at Welsh life for women when men ruled with an iron fist and women were considered as property. The movie gets two stars because the story leaves you wanting closure. I watched this movie under the premise that there was a horror element and a supernatural twist. None of this happened. The only "horror" was the abject poverty and utter helplessness of the protagonist. It was as disappointing as the final episode of The Sopranos.

Amazing show that hooks you on the first episode and never lets go. I haven't been so engrossed in a series since Game of Thrones or Sopranos.
