Because I like Melissa McCarthy's acting and the movie reminded me of a Marvel Comic -type movie. Although it had corny dialogue at times. The scene where she was dancing with the Crab man was nerdy. Many other scenes were barely watchable. I was disappointed this was not given more thought in developing a better storyline.
