I loved all of the Halo games. Mostly the first 3. One of my favorite game series my whole life. The reason I’m rating this one star is how poorly this game (halo master chief collection) links them all together. I’ve had the mcc almost since I’ve had my Xbox and it’s been one major glitch after the other. I’m not talking about in-game glitches it’s the MCC specific glitches. Like how you can download the game and sometimes you won’t be able to play it because you are “missing content” even though you have downloaded the full game and it’s add one. The most common solution for this is to delete and re-download the entire game. At that point you still have the same chance it will happen again. The game takes about 3 hours to download with decent connection mind you. That isn’t the only bug/glitch by any means either. Many achievements are bugged so you cannon unlock them even after completion. Many in game challenges won’t progress whatsoever. This is only the brink of the messed up things with this game. There are many many more bugs that make this unplayable. They’ve promised to fix most of the glitches multiple times, but what comes out every update instead? New helmets and armor to wear in the multiplayer. Or new menu changes to make things “look different” 343 has been promising crossplay campaign for a year now with nothing to come. Ive felt I was very patient in the past with this game. When it first came out in 2014 it had terrible reviews from most gamers about how broken it was. Even after multiple updates it still did not land well; but I would still argue otherwise every time it was mentioned because of how much I had cared for the Halo series. No more. It’s not just a couple things anymore it’s the whole damn game. Boo master chief collection and boo 343 for promising more than what they could put out. If you are thinking of purchasing this, don’t. Go buy the old Halos and play through each of them. You will have a much better positive experience.
