To be honest, I'll break it down to a minimum. It's honestly more of a musical than it is tied to what the movie is all about. And that's not mentioning the plot going anywhere, the entire movie is just joker being in a prison and the only times joker isn't in a prison. He's in court and him escaping. That's also not mentioning the unneeded and unnecessary amounts of singing. There was so much singing that I wanted to leave the movie theater, even my parents (who are die-hard joker and Batman fans) wanted to leave. Did I mention the fact this movie felt more of a quick cash grab than it was an actual movie. You can obviously see how much effort was put in the first one but this felt more of a "let's gets some money and call it quits" type of movie.
The story (without all the unnecessary singing) in a nutshell: Joker is in prison, sees Harley, joker and Harley for the half of movie, they make out, uh oh apparently it is canon for Harley to be pregnant, joker doesn't want to be joker, harley breaks up with him and boom car explosion, joker gets practically kidnapped by fans, joker sees Harley again at his old apartment and breaks up with him, womp womp jokers back in prison, and the finally joker dies by a knife.
How in the world does that correlate to anything related to the jokers storyline not to mention background/the back story of him. The first one did it just fine but the moment they decided to have a second one, they decided to do a whole musical over it.
Y'all just decided to put two singers for a joker movie and thought, this will do good on reviews!
Please for the love of everything do not spend your money for a musical that doesn't correlate to anything joker lore related. Unless your just want to see unnecessary singing and a pointless plot.
