Rodriguez is certainly A list in Action films now.. a seamless collaboration with Kalogridis & Cameron has created a beautiful rendering of the Alita the Manga character. Passionate, compassionate, brave, committed youthful at 300 years. I found myself completely invested in Alita. .. it seemed ...quite often that Marisa Tomei was being channeled in Alita's expressions and voice attitudes, if so, it worked beautifully! I cannot imagine anyone bringing this story to life in a way that achieves more. 9.0 out of 10.

Three hours?... how they brought this world class cast and digital effects heavy film in for under 80 million is hard to believe. It was three hours of attack and escape over and over...childhood flashbacks gave some human story to it... eventually the happy ending arrives.

I really loved it and I really hated it....but like most film critics I have not seen it yet...so I'm a little undecided.

The entire story line and presentation of it is so overtly Social Engineering that the film vascilates between oppression and insult.... however, the actors are amusing and so forthright that I have indulged in this escape a half dozen times or more.

This musical dance drama just keeps getting better as the years roll by... it has earned a place among such greats as Baz Luhrmans Moulin Rouge or West Side Story... this has become a go-to movie for lifting the spirits and remembering what fun is all about.
