The show has no idea what it wants to be.
It wants to be a family of super heroes but doesn't give the family nearly enough screen time. It wants to be a character study, talking about the morality of a hero killing a villain, but it never truly gets a satisfying climax. It wants a twist villain but it you stop caring before you get to the climax
