I'm going to try to judge this fairly.
First, I am of the firm opinion that this is indeed Netflix' attempt at ripping off LOST for a quick buck or two, rather than a truly "Lost" inspired miniseries.
-1 star because it is a time-crunched RIP-OFF of "LOST." The creators need to understand the difference between "ripped-off material" and. a source of inspiration." Why it says "original" series is beyond me. Netflix theoretically could be sued by ABC for claiming this was an "original" series.
-1 star for terrible acting. This seems to be the result of two factors: one-dimensional characters in the writing as well as the acting abilities of the cast .
+1 star for quality computer graphics. I know some people complain about the CG shark, but this day and age we should expect some graphics on shows like this.
So, 5 -1-1+1=4. I'd like to be more discriminatory and give it a 3 star rating but overall it is not a terrible show, even with the above negations. I might have liked it better if I had never heard of LOST or ever watched LOST. But in being a LOST fan, the copy-cat rip off of plot and even exact dialogue at times, was far too much to ignore.
