The original will always hold a place in my heart but I have to say that this movie was incredible. The joy we felt leaving the cinema was incomprehensible, Emily’s take on Mary evokes Julie’s, but never tries to compete with it, its a total love story to the first movie. The songs were incredible, so catchy, we’ve been singing “a cover is not a book” all the way home. Deserving of as many awards as it can get. Absolutely show stopping. Go see this film if you just want to smile!!! Also for those moaning about the length... it’s still 10 minutes shorter than the 1964 movie and not a minute of it feels wasted. LOVE LOVE LOVE
