awful waste of time, almost a hollywood vision of ireland,... where was the intense poverty? the back breaking work needed to make ends meet on small strips of land and where such turned the hands into leather bent callouses ? Here the men had money to go to the pub every evening, and had a almost office style of clothing rather than worn out labouring clothes which were worn daily bar sundays, it hardly showed the real life on such an island, and the plot was good for twenty minutes, i gave up with it after 50 mins as its repetitive nonesense, the guy with his finger cut off and not even a strip of cloth on it!! I have seen how hard life on a small holding was and how scarce money was and the pub was rarity.
