I love Terry Gilliam. Always very indie, shambling and not Hollywood predictability ever. It is constantly surprising and full of Pythonesque imagery, reminding of 'Holy Grail'. As ever with Gilliam films it takes a bit of getting into and understanding. Intellectual absurdity is his thing. You have to persist and you grow to enjoy it. But it is long. Rather like prog rock. You need staying power and that's in short supply now, unfortunately.
