I was originally on the hate train, and thought to really understand the game I need to play it myself. I was experiencing emotions so extreme because of my love for the first game. I was totally immersed because that’s how I think it SHOULD be played, appreciating the music and the visuals.
The gameplay is enjoyable and satisfying and the GORE effects is the absolute industry standard’s best.
Abbey’s story started out being I don’t care, but then it starts showing it’s colours and making me realise how significant the theme “cycle of violence” really was. And that’s why I think Neil’s bold decision to play as the “enemy” was a risky but outstanding move. Because I actually realised about how human the enemy’s side was.
This is the most controversial and emotionally traumatic game I have ever played after The Last Of Us.
Just like in the game’s story, I have experienced being on both sides of the conflict.
I didn’t expect to rate this 5 stars but I’m proud to share my HONEST and FAIR opinion.
Well done Naughtydog, it’s a dark horrible masterpiece that really sets the bar for future games to try to impress me. You’ve never failed to deliver.
