i watched the first climbing sequence and when I saw her jumping and him "catching" her one-armed, I knew this movie was total nonsense. acting looked about as bad as climbing sequences. "get a room duuuudes". Nah. And i'm neither a climber nor an actor.

indulgently and overly long shots. Watched the movie but kept skipping 10s forward. I mean who wantsa 30" shot of someone sleeping. Because it poses as some kinda "social issue" movie from Africa (with themes like poverty, exploitation of the poor by the rich etc etc) western critics laud it as great art and something extremely special, rare and celebratory. throw in a few sets of milky contact lenses and a couple of tracks and you have a "ghost story" or "magic realism". nothing much original or thoughtful here imho.
