Ugh.. I was so wildly disappointed with this movie. The chemistry in the first movie, and even in the second one.. you could cut the tension with a knife. But not this one. I’ve read all of the books at least 3 times.. and this one was by far my favorite book of all 5 of them. But, there was just SOO much left out that are relevant factors.
1. When they went to the lake house and had sex in the hot tub, he flipped out on her because he forgot a condom and blamed her. He then used Lily to make her jealous. And he didn’t even know her.
2. Hardin never had a dream about Tessa and Robert. It was Tessa and Zed. And his dream was far more vivid than what was shown.
3. Hardin sabotaged Tessa being able to get an apartment in Seattle. That is why she ended up living with Vance.
4. There was a huge going away party that Steph threw for her and she tried to get one of her friends to drug and rape her. Then, Molly of all people called for help. Zed ended up driving her to her moms house.
5. Hardin never went to his mothers wedding. Neither did Tessa, Kim, or Vance. There was also multiple men in a dive bar when Hardin found out Vance was the father and Vance’s associate’s affair was the one who told Hardin. He then left and wasn’t found until he was burning down his childhood home. Vance then gets him out of the house and they drive away. Hardin then goes back to London and leaves and goes to his friends house, which Tessa finds him and refuses to leave. Tessa ends up leaving back for Washington without Hardin.
6. Speaking of the ending, there was absolutely NOTHING regarding her dad being on drugs. And Hardin didn’t know that he was at the apartment since he shouldn’t have been; he was supposed to be in rehab. When Tessa goes back to the apartment, she finds her dad dead in the bathroom.
7. Speaking of the dad dying, Hardin pays for Richards funeral, unbeknownst to Tessa. And he finds her in her hiding spot as a child.
I’m just so disappointed soo much was left out. I guess I will have to keep the real story left to my imagination.
