Unlike some of the other franchises such as Canada drag race, BBC, Down under, Belgium and Sweden, you don’t always feel you’re in safe hands with this production. They don’t seem to have found their place and feel entirely comfortable with the format, there is an over emphasis on trying to mimic the original which doesn’t always work. Diane Brille is a great feature in the show but not always entirely convincing as a judge. She’s more focused on trying to remember German words, but hopefully she will return for a second season. The drag is a little bit amateur at times, including the host, but other times it’s better. They also are very creative in developing their own challenges which work well. Production values are not as slick and sharp as the other franchises, but they seem to have a big budget otherwise. Overall, hoping for a better second season. Worth a watch. Fantastic professional production By SVT Sweden’s major television channel . Really well done and Fux the host is great, The best of the European franchises in my opinion.

Supposed to be set in Washington DC, but clearly filmed in Vancouver. Therefore the setting and landscape is all wrong, ruining the sense of believability. They tried to cover this with some found footage of Washington DC. Full of cliches, endless car chases and gun fights held together by an unbelievable plot. In my opinion overhyped and perplexed at the four star reviews.

The spinoff is spoiled by the over excited judges who scream and woo hoo and jump up and down. This kind of behaviour it’s not what you expect from the judges. They need to review the original RuPaul‘s drag race (or Sweden drag race)and see how the judges behave on that, much more cooler and sophisticated, exactly what you expect a judge to be. DragRace France had a similar problem and to some degree the Belgium franchise as well.

Enjoyable if slightly implausible plot. Watchable and nice cinematography.

Goes on a bit. Needs editing down. I thought the snatch game would never end. Bless them for effort. Over excited judges with some flat jokes. Makes you realise how clever the original is. Overall, not bad.
