The first A Quiet Place, is one of the greatest modern horrors out there. The second was almost just as great. This one.. this was someone who decided to take their film degree too seriously and stomp all over what could have been a fast paced, suspenseful, horrific, intense origin story and replaced it with existential symbolism, a slow burn friendship, a cat that gets more screen time than anyone and a stupid pizza side quest that has zero impact on the outcome of the movie. It was all there for the taking.. the concept, the creatures, the timeline.. and it fell short by a long mile. Can we get a re-do please!
