I lived thru the last several years of Harvester (ag division) in their field marketing/sales. The book lines up very well with what was happening to us in the field and why. Very interesting. J She gives really good background to what was happening upstairs. Our field goals were alway last year plus 20% when the real world was last year minus 30%. I wish she would have completed the book better with the end days in 1984. That were the most traumatic year for the field in my opinion. Yes I was a casualty in 1984/5. Our immediate management was forced to mislead the field people with job guarantees that turned out to be a ONE day guarantee after the Tenneco closing. It all ended poorly. And I still have animosity towards the union and their 1980 part in the IH collapse. Terrible people. But I still have some fond memories of the company and the everyday people.
