This is one of the best and most interesting horror movies I’ve seen in awhile. In recent years I’ve found the horror/thriller genre to be very repetitive and predictable. This movie I found to be clever, shocking and exciting. The acting was good, the story was good, the ending was compelling. I enjoyed it a lot.

I normally love a good alien thriller/horror (signs, dark skies, the fourth kind) but this was not it. The first 15 minutes had me intrigued. I like the actress, there were creepy sound effects and the initial reveal of the alien was unsettling in a good way. Then, this movie went right off the rails quickly. From there, I will synopsize what happens for you so you don’t have to put yourself through it. - girl stabs alien in head - girl pants heavily - aliens do dance moves - throat bug takes over then is easily removed - alien falls off house, then gets stuck in car - girl blows up car with BBQ lighter - girl goes to town, gets spit on, buys a disguise (for some reason), then goes home - girl outruns alien with 20 foot appendages - aliens have more dialogue than girl - girl dances The end. The order of these events is probably incorrect, but I promise you it doesn’t matter. What a pile pile of poo.
