The book had a good concept and good plot. I have to add, though, that there was an overuse of dangling abrupt sentences that detracted from the overall reading experience. Example: 'The inside of each tube coated with colored powder, the blending of colors. The scorching pinks and sizzling purples.' Maybe a few throughout the book would be okay but not overkill. The ending left a bit to be desired also.
