I only finished this book because I just didn't want to give up on hope that it would get better. I was so wrong. I'm a huge fan of M/M romance and this is possibly the least romantic book I've found. I wouldn't even mind the lack of smut if there were ANY chemistry between the leads. Hell, even the central "friendship" seemed shallow and pathetic. The main character isn't likeable, the love interest is one-dimensional, and every single supporting character is overly detailed for their small part in the story. All the stereotyping gives big Pick-Me energy and the crux of the final conflict is basically the main character getting shit on and then apologizing to the people shitting on him. Definitely not worth your time.
