Most disappointing movie of my life. Let’s forget how utterly inaccurate it is. I get the director has creative liberty. My problem is with the lack of character development, the boring/disjointed plot, and the poor acting/portrayal of Napoleon. This movie is not a biopic of Napoleon. It does not talk about his upbringing and skips over some of the most important parts of his life. It spends 2/3rds of the movie on Napoleon and Josephine. But even spending so much time on their romance I would not call it a love story. Even that portion felt hollow and empty. Napoleon was one of my favorite historical figures and Scott one of my favorite directors. They need to burn this travesty.

TERRIBLE. Lazy and forced. What’s wrong with Santa?

I like Dev Patel and I love films from this time period. That being said this movie was TERRIBLE. I get the moral story underpinning the movie but the plot itself was disjointed, slow, boring, and just weird. The soundtrack was also quite odd. The cinematography was good but that’s about all. I feel like this could have been a 15 min short. I imagine a film class or film student might enjoy it?

Unoriginal, contrived, staged. Skip this one and save yourself the 90 minutes. You won’t regret it.
