I love a good historical fiction, but this isn't it. There are a lot of modern day and American attributes sprinkled throughout the show, including the cheesy music. If you can get passed the inaccuracies and orchestral version of Ariana Grande's music, the story will only disappoint you. The main characters had the chance to have a riveting love story, but they were betrayed by poor writing. I will say the male lead is very attractive and the only reason anyone could enjoy this show.

Every character was cute, funny, and had a lot of depth. Not only was this a beautiful romance, but a story of friendship, literature, and getting through life's hardships. You get to see how the ML and FL go from a life long friendship to a romantic relationship, all the while respecting and caring deeply for one another. I also enjoyed the stories of the second leads and side characters. They all get their own happy endings that really tie the whole story together. The show was sweet and light hearted, yet had me laughing and crying through every episode. My heart feels so full after finishing this series. <3
