Trash. Formulaic spectacle garbage aimed at the lowest common denominator. This should be a tv movie / tv show. This is NOT cinema. It's lit so flat it's painful to look at, looks like an SNL sketch and plays out like one too. Parody. James Gunn is a hack, made one indie film in Slither then movie 43 (worst film ever rated and one of most hated in history) then just comic book adaptions ever since. He bastardises characters and so he does her with superman, changing some of the key kyrpton folklore which is inherently full of hope, optimism and heroism and turns it cynically and so unnecessarily into a conquering all of mankind making superman and his Kryptonian family inherently evil in nature.. how is this movie about 'positivity' and 'kindness again'?! The devil always dresses up as kindness. 0 depth and superficial. Trash. Feel sorry for all the young kids that will be introduced to this version of superman and think this is superman (getting beat up for 90 mins, saved by a dog in every scene and needs others in justice gang to save him) Insulting that this is what Warner Bros is serving up and funding these days.
