If I could give zero stars I would. This movie was just disrespectful to the author. Peter Pan was awful. He was NOT daring, adventurous, handsome, cunning, mischievous, loveable, etc. He was NOT Peter Pan. I don't think this is the actor's fault. I think he is a good actor but he should not have been casted for this role or the writing just was too awful. Tinkerbell was not sassy or mean to Wendy or protective of Peter. She actually seemed pointless. Wendy was a great actress but given a poorly written script. Why did they not have Wendy tell stories? Why did she hate Peter the whole time? There was no chemistry between Peter and Wendy. They are supposed to pretend to be mother and father... This movie felt like it was trying so hard to be inclusive and have girl power that they ran out of time to even attempt to make a decent movie.Why was everything so dark? Neverland should be bright and magical Why did Tiger Lilly not have her tribe? Why were they the lost girls and not boys? The whole point is they never saw a girl before and they thought Wendy should be their mother since she is a girl... This movie made me upset as a life long lover of Peter Pan. Just overall disappointing and bland.
