Well it's a good thing that we have Channel Four news because we need some in depth reporting. However too many editions reek of amateurism. Over long interviews with pundits often reach a point of embarrassment where the conversation goes on when there really is nothing more to say. Problems with the autocue and, I am sorry to say Jon Snow's struggles to read without stumbling increasingly add to undermining the programmes gravitas. And yet sometimes it hits a note that no other news organisations in the UK achieve. Our viewer loyalty is surely tried a lot of the time but just sometimes it rewards it.
