Fascinated by the plot, awe-inspiring action & all players in The Night Agent, deftly led by Gabriel Basso. For me, a good way to tell if a series is worth the trouble is whether it keeps me up until 4am. The Night Agent certainly fit the bill. A fine watch.

Excellent acting. Rami Malek is a wonder to watch. The story itself, though, is a bit bleak with a below-par denouement.

Angelina Jolie’s newest movie, “Those Who Wish Me Dead,” is, indeed, “a thriller.” The only thing that keeps it from being a “great” one is the disappointing way in which the storyline never lets us, the viewers, ever know the “Why?” What is the reason the rogue(?) FBI group pulls out all the stops to kill so many innocent people: WHAT is in the note that explains it all. We never know. Some people have told me, “It’s not fair.” Best description of the film I’ve heard. Terrific acting, especially from the newly-orphaned boy. Angelina Jolie is thrilling, as usual. The “bad guys” are OMG horrific. Still, would like an explanation of what it was all about.

Cynthia Erivo is the quintessential actor to have been chosen to “play” the late, great Aretha Franklin in ‘Genius.’ From her mind-shattering ability to capture the artist’s ever-present tragic persona to her own soul-lifting singing voice, the series is indeed a once-in-a-lifetime delight. As we see in all renditions of channeling “genius,” even though the young actress bears very little resemblance to the late artist we have no problem accepting her as Aretha Franklin. The tumultuous, ongoing themes of civil rights, sexual liberation and women’s empowerment are uniquely enfolded within the storyline. Not to be missed.
