Roger Palomino

This excellent Peruvian classic is the tale of an indigenous woman who leaves her native Arequipa to pursue a better education in the capital Lima. There she meets and works for the Pereyras, a wealthy socialite family who she feels will support her education. She slowly begins to fall for the son of the family, Raul, who is already engaged to another woman who is a socialite as well. Well written plot, acting and direction based on the original script from the early 1970's. An all-star Latin American cast primarily of Peruvian actors, and the special guest actresses Maricarmen Regueiro and Hilda Abrahamz of Venezuela.
