My take as an OKie.
It was FANTASTIC, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The movie was entertaining like a summer blockbuster of old. Twisters managed to dodge every stance pushed by a woke agenda. You won’t find a political message on global warming, sex, gender or race not even unnecessary language. It’s just good cinema.
The audio and visual effects are second to none. Allowing the viewer to immerse themselves in an adventure something you just don’t experience everyday.
As a reminder to those who put in the effort to get offended by something in this movie.
This is not a freaking documentary on twisters, storm chasers, or Oklahomans.
We go to the movies to be entertained. We go to detach ourselves for a few short hours from our reality and live vicariously through someone else.

Yeah, I think if you really have a problem with the ending of this movie being unrealistic then let’s take a trip back to 1996. Let’s start with Helen and Bill strapping themselves to a pipe in the ground outdoors and managed to not die instantly. They lived, somehow avoiding being empaled by the copious amounts of debris, the farm tools and yes not even a scratch from the blades of grass flying at 200 mph.
Yes, I am willing to forgive this, crazy unrealistic Hollywood concocted scene.
And I think we should forgive Holywood for creating what a movie is supposed to create, a world where adventure meets imagination.
I can appreciate the honesty from the chick in the motel after in the rodeo scene. So many times I’ve heard the sirens, and seen David Paine say be it’s going to be a long night (IYKYK) and it was nothing.
Oklahomans know what to do in the event a tornado hits but many times the warnings given from Channel 4 or 9 are taken with a grain of salt as we continue on with our day with the tv continuing in the background or watching from an app.
And yeah a lot of people do dumb things in the event of a tornado.
And yes there are some unrealistic depictions of Oklahomans running around in chaos but PEOPLE ITS A MOVIE. And not a documentary.
All in all a great movie and you can take it or leave it.
