This message is regarding the Victory News program that aired on August 3, 2022, at noon.
The story about the teammate who stayed for the game despite her teammates who were forced to wear the pride jersey is not godly behavior. It is easy to succumb to the flesh but we always need to heed God's commands first.
His word says:
Perilous Times and Perilous Men
2 Timothy 3:1-5
3 But know this, that in the last days [a]perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, [b]unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
We need to turn away from the temptations that are always before us in many disguises.
This is an example of how the enemy creeps in. It is almost always subtle. He doesn’t come dressed wearing a red cape, with horns on his head and carrying a pitchfork. He uses a weakness disguised as virtue or loyalty and then he stabs us in the back with guilt once we realize the error of our ways. The guilt then keeps us farther away from God’s precious gifts, mercy, and grace which we so desperately need to draw closer to Him. When we turn away from enticements that may show up in devious devices we are assured of God's love and protection.
