Re: gettiing it wrong with Omicron. I live in Brisbane where the CHO seems to think we are over the peak. BIG MISTAKE!! As much as I want us to open up and get over the lockdown mentallity when the kids go back to school there will be another peak. THere will be tens if thousnads of kids on the train withouts masks. As the pepole in charge have never caught a train especially at 3pm this is being overlooked. During the mandatory masks on public tramsport probably 10-15% of adults where masks, with the kids it is around 10-15% that do. After wearing them all day in school they will not wear them on the trains and as many od=f them do not pay the data gained of Go Cards would not show how many actually catch the train. Anyway, I am all for opening back up and not trying to scaremonger, I just want the rubbish and ignorance to stop and offer our frontline health workers some honesty. Get some people on the trains and some advertising to guide people into wearing masks for others not for themselves. Wearing masks may not stop you getting Covid but it will limit who you spread it to and it just may be that person next to you who has a vulnerable relatiive,
