as its own separate movie, it is amazing. i just dont believe blumhouse executed this movie as they needed too. they needed to make it simplified enough to cater to new fans, but still make it accurate enough to keep their main audience happy. they catered to much towards the new audience and twisted a lot of stuff that left many older fans confused. vanessa is a very good example of this. she is so close to security breach vanessa, especially in the looks, but the timelines make no sense, it left so many confused. i think this movie is good, just come in trying to think of it as more of a adaptation.
