From The First "Trilogy" House Of Balloons, Thursday, Echos Of Silence, & This Last "Trilogy" After Hours & Dawn F.M. With Every Other Album In Between, I Gotta Admit That I Was Probably A Little More Than Nervous To See Where He Was Gonna Go, Musically & Sonically. I Was Curious As To How He Gonna Wrap This Up. I Must Admit, I Thought He Was Gonna Go In A Direction That I Felt Was Gonna Be Nothing Less Than Super-Cheesy, With Possibly The Most, Over The Top Synth-Based Music That He Already Proved He Could Do... Better Than Anybody Else Can, Maybe Even Better Than The O.G. Artists Did Back In The 80's But To My Surprise, & Thank GOD, He Didn't Just Do After Hours & Dawn F.M. Part 2!!! I Honestly Thought He Was Gonna Just Stick To What He Has Done On His Past 2 Albums But Holy Shit, The Weeknd Is The King Of Staying Fresh, Ahead Of Everybody Else, Especially When It Comes To Choosing And/Or Making Beats!!! I Wasn't Sure Where He Could Lyrically Without Singing About The Same Things He's Sung About In The Past. The Weeknd Definitely Sounds Like He Has Grown-Up As An Artist, As A Man. I'm Not Gonna Lie, ILoved His Drug-Fueled, Womanizing, One Night Stand Sexipades. I Use To Digg How He Would Talk To/About Them Bitches & Treating Them As Such, Definitely Not Respecting The Things That Didn't Need To Be Respected. I Also Fell In Love With His Slow, Heart-Broke Songs Where He Really Sounded Like He Was Hurt. The First Trilogy & My Dear Melancholy Were Top-Notch, The Weeknd Was Definitely In His Bag, Even Songs Like Alone Again, After Hours, Heartless, Faith, Until I Bleed Out, Is There Someone Else, Starry Eyes, Out Of Time, & Phantom Regret Were Pretty Dope But Most Of Starboy Was Pretty Shitty, With Songs Like False Alarm, Rockin', Love To Lay Along With Others Like Too Late, Hardest To Love, Take My Breath, Gasoline, & Even Blinding Lights Took A Turn I Wasn't Very Find Of. I Was Thinking He Was Gonna Double Down On The Latter Songs I Just Mentioned But Thankfully He Didn't Go That Route...Again!!! This Album Was Perfect & That's Even Without Him Just Playing It Safe & Sticking To What Has Worked For Him In The Past. The Music Is Some Of The Best He's Ever Had On An Album & Holy Shit, His Vocals Were Clean As Fuk, Super Clear, & Strong As Ever!!! Lyrically...Altho It's Not Like Anything In His Past Work, He Tackled Some Very Mature, But Not Raunchy Subject Matter That Was Very Pleasing To Listen Too. This Album Will Definitely Be A #1 Album, & I'm Sure It Will Go Down As One His Best Albums In His Discography. The Only Song I Didn't Like & I Will No-Doubt Skip At Every Listen Is Sau Palo...That Song Is Weak-Sauce & I Honestly Don't See Where It Really Even Fit On This Album. That Song Shoulda Actually Been A One-Off Single & Kept Off The Album Instead Of Dancing In The Flames, That Song Should Have Made It On The Album & It Woulda Fit Perfectly Right After The Song Drive But It's All Good...One Shitty Song Outta Twenty Two Ain't Bad!!! Great Job Weeknd On Possibly The Most Solid Album You've Ever Put Out... Other Than The O.G. Trilogy, This Album Is Just As Perfect As KissLand!!! Two Solid-Ass Albums Without A Bunch Of Bullshit Fillers, 10/10
