Name dropping Joan Didion adds nothing to the authenticity of the author’s need to show how evolved she is; how progressive her views are.
Left me wondering what she was hoping to say. Are men bad, women powerful as long as they don’t marry, use abortion as birth control and enjoy sleeping with married men?
