First of all, if you were brought to this book because you have read All The Light We Cannot See or Cloud Cuckoo Land I have to say that this is going to be different. When I read All The Light We Cannot See, I fell in love with how Anthony Doerr writes. So after that I read Cloud Cuckoo Land. An absolute masterpiece. Although About Grace definitely cannot compare with those two books, it is a great book on its own. If you do not like slow books and have a small attention span, this book may not be for you. So many things happen in the is book so by the end, it feels like you’ve just read Winkler’s whole life. But that’s what makes it so good. I will recommend this book to anybody who wants to FEEL something when they’re reading and when they’re finished with it.
