Without Christopher Plummer, I wouldn't have watched. Having said that, I thought it was a comedy or maybe even a farce - didn't really believe it was all that factual - But that's not important because whatever it was, it was entertaining even though I wasn't sure what was happening - or why. I believe if you've see a movie only once, you haven't seen the movie. So I will watch again.

I try each week to get into it...When the scenery overshadows the acting and writing and directing - you know you haven't succeeded in a hit show. In other words: poorly written script, acting is mediocre, director is an amateur. Having said all that, I'll keep watching unless there is a good movie on TCM.

As usual, Streep gives a technical performance enhanced by the make-up and wigs. There are numerous British and Australian actresses who should have been cast in this role. There are moments where the true Thatcher comes through, but not enough to sustain the illusion. I imagine that those who knew the Prime Minister are tearing out their hair.
