The acting, costuming, visuals, and sound design were good. The actors looked nothing like high schoolers, but it was fun and entertaining. The only flaw this movie had was the writing, which is a big component. The plot unraveled tactlessly near the end and wanted to tie loose ends. The problem is that those loose ends either weren't loose at all and had been resolved in the plot already, or were never a part of the main conflict. It felt forced, rushed, and confused at the end. Again, I didn't notice any obviously stiff acting and I enjoyed Camila Mendes' performance a lot, but it was clear the actors were trying to make the best from messy writing. Overall, entertaining and fun. There were little one liners that made me laugh out loud, but it was hard to ignore the unsatisfying writing especially as the movie was drawing to a close.
