This is what I don’t understand about making remakes of our beloved franchise. If you look back on all of the Disney classics. Why would you want to see the same story rehashed over again. You already know the characters and atmosphere but now you’re left with a gimmick. This gimmick being remaking it in live action. But now that it has made loads of profit and Disney can cash in. What’s the point in investing your time and money into it. You know how Disney are. They will not let someone get a little bit creative. If you see all of the franchises that Disney owns right now, it’s looking very promising of saying “We love money” Don’t get me wrong, they have helped with marvel films and Pixar’s reputation but they made them become a huge brand. I know some people in Disney are hard working people but you know Disney could do better. They’re recycling films all over again. And that’s my main point. If you already have seen the film before because of your nostalgia. Then, you’re going into this film with your nostalgia. And you walk out of it feeling like you got less. For what it is, it’s a super mediocre film with some impressive CGI work but they made it the whole film rather then a tool to improve the storytelling. 5/10
