I really like the ancient Chinese style of this anime and Maomao, the main character. She’s unique unlike usual main characters and I especially like her unusual but fitting color palette. Jinshi is also a pretty cool character, but his type of character is more common and he’s kinda weird in the anime. My only complaints are how the anime gets boring after a few episodes with just a new small mystery and repeat. There are also a lack of characters, Maomao and Jinshi are basically the only relevant characters with everyone else being comparable to an NPC. Overall, the anime is pretty good but compared to other much more interesting stories from other animes it quickly falls short.
