Inside the CU Fiske Planetarium, which is a creatively designed building, Beautifica was one of the most visually unique memorable experiences of my life. Leaned back on my soft chair just enough to really relax, I went on an amazing journey with a variety of designs, visuals and animations of the sort this brain of mine hadn't ever seen before. At times they were slow and calm, at other times they came at you a 100 MPH. There was the familiar Kaleidoscope bout of visuals, which were still made special given the unique dome screen, and then there was a whole bunch of other visuals that my mind hadn't imagined or seen in the past 40 years I've lived. The minimal verbal narration allowed my awareness to roam free within my subconscious mind, helping surface what I needed to become aware of and process. Overall, it was a lovely experience and I highly recommend it. Some things they can do at CU to make it even better; I'd tell them to have people who may need to leave during the show sit closer to the doors, keep the lights as dark as possible, and up the volume. I'd love to go and experience Beautifica again any day.
