The only excuse for not reading this book is if you haven't heard of it. The attention to historical detail is appreciated. By the end of the novel, it felt like I'd actually spent time with Oscar Wilde. My admiration for the legendary literary figure increased tenfold. The ending impacted me especially hard. I still remember it vividly even though it's been nearly two years since I put it down.
