Oh. My. Goodness! We just got home from seeing Disciples in the Moonlight and we were blown away! This IS, by far, THE BEST Christian film we have seen, and we literally have seen almost all of them (from the 70's "Thief in the Night' forward). The quality of Christian films overall is ABSOLUTELY improving but DitM has DEFINITELY raised the bar! The screenplay, the acting, the directing, the production, the scenery and lighting, the SOUND and sound QUALITY was PERFECT!! Not overpoweringly loud (the 3 of us wear hearing aids and none of us felt it was too loud - OR too soft - we NEVER say that about a movie!, there was clear diction (THANK YOU, actors!) and the mic-ing was excellent (THANK YOU, soundmen!). We understood everything! The lighting was perfect so that even scenes in the dark were "visible" to the viewers. These are all areas that in a lot of Christian films (and even non-Christian films) are not well-done. Kudos to everyone involved in this film! We felt every one of your actors was perfect for their roles and played the scenes believably. Usually there are one or two that are "miscast" or only "okay", but each of your cast members was a winner. Very believable characters, played very well. The script was excellent! It captured our attention from the opening scene and was suspenseful, tender, and thought-provoking with realistic dialogue and plot. I jumped, smiled, sat on the edge of my seat and cried. The TRUTH and Gospel message were woven in clearly and realistically without being preachy. (Granted, being believers, we may not be able to accurately evaluate that, but I'm contemplating taking non-Christian friends and we'll see what they think. 😉) We appreciated the Name of Jesus being spoken unashamedly when so many "Christian" films often don't even allude to Him, let alone speak of Him and WHO He is and WHAT He did! It is a thriller that reminds us of the very real possibility of American believers having to risk their lives for the precious Word of the Lord and to stand our ground...no matter what. Will continue telling family and friends and others to GO SEE IT! God willing, it will get the audience it deserves. VERY WELL DONE!!! And all without sex, violence, graphic gore and cursing. AMAZING!! 👍
