The underlining of this movie is - the lengths people will go to protect or "avenge" their family (Daughter, Son, Brother) and the secrets that lay in the midst of them. I give this movie 4 stars because its not overdone with exagerated exitement, however, supplies eniugh thrill and twist that does not disappoint in the end. The Silencing sets the tone of a town whos been suffering in many ways and feels as if slowly dying. There is deffinitely wrong doings througout the movie, where grief is always the antagonist driving the characters to act out of their original, audience percieved, selves. Give this movie a try with an open mind, understanding that darkness roots in silence.
