This movie was such a joy to watch. As someone who has absolutely loved the book for years and has reread it more times than they can remember, I cannot put into words how much happiness I felt watching one of my favourite books come to life on screen. I honestly cannot stop smiling. Taylor and Nicholas were phenomenal - the perfect casting! And I especially loved how the filmmakers integrated the texts and e-mails into the script and scenes. It truly does not make much difference that certain characters and scenes were left out of the movie. One just cannot possibly fit every line of a book into a 2-hour film. I genuinely feel like the entire team working on the film captured the essence of the book, and I loved how they focused primarily on the two boys and their emotions.. because it is THEIR story after all. Please read the book. Please watch the movie. My heart is full. ❤️🤍💙
